My instagram feed hasn’t been working for a while. Any ideas why?

SoloPine Author

Hi Leah,

Yes! My apologies. The “WP Instagram Widget” plugin we’ve used for years suddenly “bit the dust”. We do have an alternative plugin, though. Please be sure to check out our article here: https://solopine.ticksy.com/article/15141/ Within, it links to a second tutorial that helps guide you through configuring the new “Smash Balloon Social Photo Feed” plugin.

Let us know how it goes! Cheers!

Hey,

I have a question, does this also include a PHP CMS for this script? I’m not really a wordpress fan.

SoloPine Author

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out! I’m afraid that it’s only for the WordPress platform. My apologies!

Cheers!

Pre-purchase question: Does this theme support greek fonts? I find your theme really amazing and functional. Keep up the good work

SoloPine Author

Hi there,

Thank you very much for the kind words!

Rosemary’s main fonts are “Lato” and “Playfair Display” from Google Fonts. It unfortunately doesn’t look like Lato or Playfair Display support the Greek language. However, we could help you switch out those fonts for alternatives that did, if you wanted.

If you decide to go with Rosemary, you can check out Google Fonts’ directory for 2 alternative fonts that support Greek: https://fonts.google.com/?subset=greek&query=p . “Lato” is used for most of the theme’s text elements. Whereas “Playfair Display” is used for post titles mostly.

After finding Greek alternatives you wanted to use, you could head over to our support site at https://solopine.ticksy.com and let us know which ones you want to switch in. We’d be happy to help out

Otherwise, please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any questions!

Cheers!

Hello!
I purchased the theme and I’m trying to build my blog but I have a serious problem: The “Theme Options” are nowhere to be found.
I have installed and activated the Rosemary theme and I have installed and activated the required Vafpress Post Formats UI plugin.
Under Appearance, I only have: Themes, Customize, Widgets, Menus, Install Plugins, Editor. But there are no “Theme options” so I cannot really build anything yet. I searched everywhere but I cannot find it.
Can you please help me with this problem? Do you understand why I’m missing this feature?
Thank you so very much for your help. Your theme seems really great.

SoloPine Author

Hi there,

All of the theme options are within the WP Dashboard > Appearance > Customize section

If you’re interested, we have a variety of guides on how to setup and customize your Rosemary theme here: https://solopine.ticksy.com/articles/8045

I like to recommend the “Getting Started” article in particular: https://solopine.ticksy.com/article/3821/

Hello! How are you?
I have a problem with my website. When I share a post on Facebook, it doesn’t show picture, title and description. It only shows the website’s name. Can you help me with that issue? Thank you in advance.

SoloPine Author

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out! It sounds like Facebook may be having a hard time scraping the necessary details from the post. When this happens, we like to recommend the plugin called “WP Open Graph” (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-open-graph/). We have a little guide here: https://solopine.ticksy.com/article/3422/

If you give this a go and have any questions at all or if you find yourself with any other Rosemary-related questions, please don’t hesitate to head on over to our support site at https://solopine.ticksy.com and open up a new support ticket.

We’d be happy to help! Cheers!

Pre-purchase question Hi there, I’m wondering if I could easily change these elements with your theme without coding : buttons ; way to show articles (not only in full width but also with a sidebar, like in homepage ; white banners of text inside images (transparency, width, ext…). Thanx

I’m happy to hear that!

1 ) You can certainly edit the “Continue Reading” text within the buttons by changing the text in the related theme file. If you go ahead with Rosemary and would like a hand with this, we’d be happy to help. Though, please note that whatever you change the “Continue Reading” text to be, it would be applied to all of the post buttons. The Featured Area Slider’s button can be different text than the posts’ “Continue Reading” buttons however.

2 ) Yes, you can have the post excerpts auto-applied to your posts by using the “Use Excerpt” option. Or, you can choose the “Use Read More Tag” option to be able to choose exactly where the “Continue Reading” button will appear for each post.

Please note that this option is for the “Standard” post layout. If you were to use the Grid Layout or List Layout it will automatically apply the excerpt function as opposed to the “Read More” tag.

3 ) Ah! That’s for clarifying. We do have a guide on how to customize the overlay box on the Featured Area Slider if you’re interested: https://solopine.ticksy.com/article/3457/

Cheers!

Hi Solo Pine, thank you very much for your answers. I’ve a few lasts questions : )

1. I was wondering if, for the titles of the widgets (see screenshot: http://tinyurl.com/y4ylx7bp ) there are other shapes possibilities such as the one of Redwood : http://tinyurl.com/yyqr6x45

2. the “subscribe” button on the newsletter form, is that editable ? And can I change the color ?

Thank you

Cheers !

SoloPine Author

Hi there,

1 ) Yes, definitely. You can use the Customizer color & style settings to change Rosemary’s widget headings to be a solid background color with contrasting text, like Redwood. If you wanted the little triangular element at the bottom of the widget heading, that’s something we’d be happy to help you implement, too

2 ) Yes, you can change the “Subscribe” button text or any of the other newsletter sign-up form text within WP Dashboard > MC4WP > Forms. The MailChimp newsletter form is built using HTML code, so you can edit any of the text included by default there. For colors, this can be adjusted within the CSS code that’s placed within your “Custom CSS” Customizer box. If you ever needed help with this, we could let you know what to change and where. We have a little guide here on how to setup the MailChimp form here: https://solopine.ticksy.com/article/7490/

Hello, does this theme support Multi Author? We would like to use this theme to create a niche Medium.com style blog. Where, anyone can write content. We would hope that we could edit that tools they can use and also customize Author pages.

Best.

SoloPine Author

Hi there,

My apologies in advance if I’m misunderstanding! But you can certainly have multiple authors with Rosemary. Each author/contributor would simply need to have their own WP User created. Within each WP User, you could edit their author bios/links to that particular person. As an Administrator, you could also select which User Role they were assigned which controls/limits what sort of functions they’re capable of accessing or doing while logged in.

Cheers!

Hi, Can you tell me how to build the same home pages like in demo please ? (Sidebar and latests articles ?) within the theme page builder (custumizer) or with Gutenberg options is not the same customization at all Thanks

SoloPine Author

Hi there,

Sure thing! On Rosemary’s demo, we’ve set the homepage to be our “Latest Posts” page. If you’re seeing a static page and not your blog feed, you can follow the steps in this article to change that: https://solopine.ticksy.com/article/13722/

To enable/disable the Sidebar element, select your desired blog layout, etc., you can navigate to WP Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > General Settings.

We have a little “getting started” guide here which may be helpful: https://solopine.ticksy.com/article/3821/

If you have any questions about this or find yourself with any other questions, please don’t hesitate to head on over to our support site at https://solopine.ticksy.com and open a new support ticket. We’d be more than happy to help!

Ever since the latest updates, my Google Ads are all placed in the wrong spaces now. There’s now an ad that shows up after the 3 promo box as well as a bunch on the sidebar after every section. It’s only suppose to show up within the post itself. I’m using ad inserter.

If you could send us your site URL and wp-admin info via the contact form on our profile page, we’d be happy to take a closer look at it.

how to add new photo to slider bar ?

SoloPine Author

Hi there,

If you’d like to add a post or page to your Featured Area Slider, you can navigate to WP Dashboard > Appearance > Customize > Featured Area Settings. We have a guide on how to control what content appears there here: https://solopine.ticksy.com/article/3821#feat-area-slider

Is it possible to add a video in the header rather than a picture?

SoloPine Author

Hi there,

You would have to manually add the video to the index.php file. You can send us an email through the contact form on our profile page and we can guide you through the process

Cheers

Beautiful thank you

Hi, Does your theme have AMP?

SoloPine Author

Hi there,

Not built in but you can use a plugin such as https://wordpress.org/plugins/accelerated-mobile-pages/

Cheers!

Tiffanynoelle

Pre purchase question: does this theme have an option for breadcrumbs?

SoloPine Author

Hi Tiffany,

Thanks for reaching out! For adding breadcrumbs, we like to recommend the wonderful and free “Yoast SEO” plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo). Once it’s enabled within the plugin, you just need to insert their code into the theme file where you’d like it to display. If you decide to go with Rosemary, we’d be happy to help you add the code into Rosemary’s “header.php” file.

Please feel free to let us know if you have any other questions! Cheers!

Kulakovka

Pre-purchase question – which page builder is in this Theme?

SoloPine Author

Hi there,

Rosemary uses the WordPress Gutenberg blocks to build posts and pages. However it will also work well with a page builder plugin such as Elementor (https://wordpress.org/plugins/elementor/).

Cheers!
